Announcing our March picks!
Hello friends!
We’re ready for spring here at Manhattan Book Club. The good news is, we have 3 more highly acclaimed reads for you to dive into As a reminder, there will always be a featured read and two supplemental reads, so feel free to read one or all.
Our March pick is…
Severance
Severance is the story of Candace Chen, a young woman working in publishing in NYC. After the Shenzen fever, an apocalyptic epidemic, hits New York City, she finds herself alone and struggling to survive in a world where human connection is nonexistent and her mundane day to day no longer matters. This book is a total satire — a commentary on the routines we find ourselves falling into and the need we have for each other.
March’s Supplemental Reads:
Educated (Tara Westover, Nonfiction)
Where the Crawdads Sing (Delia Owens, Fiction)
You can RSVP for book club below and we’ll shoot you an invite with the April meeting date and time.
Love,
