The 5W’s - A Favorite Place to Read
When I think of my perfect reading space, my mind immediately paints a picture of a cloudy day with light rain showers and an added chill in the air. Yes, I know this is oh so cliche and written a million times over but it’s overdone for a reason!
There is just something about not having to get up for work in the morning and keeping cozy (in bed, on the sofa, in an oversized chair) — nothing but the pages of a book in your hand, ready to lose yourself in whatever world the author is bewitching you to enter. Now before anyone says anything - yes - the beach is a close number two reading spot, but to be perfectly frank, I appreciate long naps on the beach more, so I hardly get through a full book without distraction.
Below, you can find the 5 W’s for my favorite place to read:
A Favorite Place to Read: Amanda
The Who - Me, all alone without distractions + Hams (of course) snuggled beside me snoring
The What - I’m not picky on the book. Whatever I am currently reading is all I need. Currently hooked on Manhattan Beach and would love nothing more than a rainy Tuesday to play hooky
The Where- My king bed, with a heavy down comforter weighing on top of me and a minimum of 4 pillows piled behind me
The When - Early daytime preferred. Grey haziness a must!
The Why - It’s utterly comforting, plain and simple. It feels as though nothing from the outside world could possibly bother you or work its way into your plans!
